Enemies
Halo: Campaign Evolved enemy encyclopedia — Covenant hierarchy, Flood forms, Brute mechanics, and counter-strategies for every enemy type.
Introduction
The enemy roster in Halo: Campaign Evolved spans the entire Covenant hierarchy, the Jiralhanae Brutes, three forms of the Flood, Forerunner Sentinels, and Operation METEORITE-exclusive Sacristan Warriors. Each enemy requires different tactics — knowing the kill order can save your squad on Legendary. Unggoy Grunts panic when their Elite commander dies. Kig-Yar Jackals carry personal shields that demand precision. Sangheili Elites come in five ranks, from Minor to Honor Guard, each with escalating shield and health. Lekgolo Hunters require sustained plasma fire to expose their orange core. The Flood combat forms use infected weapons, while pure forms regenerate and launch infection heads. Forerunner Sentinels shield allies and self-destruct when close. This compendium gives you counter-strategies, head-shot locations, and shield-strip combos for every enemy type across all 13 missions in the remake.

Enemy Database
Unggoy Grunt
Lowest-tier Covenant infantry. Panics when commander dies.
Kig-Yar Jackal
Covenant marksman with hand shield. Aim for the back.
Sangheili Elite Major
Standard Covenant heavy. Plasma strips shields in seconds.
Lekgolo Hunter
Two bonded Lekgolo worms in heavy armor. SPNKr back shots only.
Sangheili Elite Honor Guard
Highest-tier Elite. Invulnerable shields and active camo.
Jiralhanae Brute
New enemy in the remake. Aggressive melee + Brute Plasma Rifle.
Flood Pure Form
Regenerating Flood entity. Explodes into infection heads on death.
Core Mechanics
Every enemy follows Halo's classic shield-vs-health system. Plasma weapons strip shields 2x faster than kinetic, and head-shots deal 2x damage. Elites have 5 ranks (Minor, Major, Spec Ops, Honor Guard, Zealot) with escalating shields and AI aggression. Hunters expose their orange Lekgolo core when their armor plate is destroyed.
Advantages
Each enemy has a defined weakness — Grunts panic when their Elite commander dies, Jackals' hand shields leave their back exposed, Elites' shields drop in seconds to plasma, Hunters' orange core is destroyed by 2 SPNKr rockets, Brutes' armor is weak to precision fire, and Flood forms are weak to fire (Flamethrower, Fuel Rod, exploding ammo).
Challenges
Honor Guard Elites have invulnerable shields and cannot be stunned. Flood Pure Forms regenerate shields and launch infection heads. Sentinels self-destruct when close to enemies, dealing splash damage to you. Brute Chieftains with gravity hammers deal massive melee damage and can one-shot you on Legendary.

Quick Tips
Always kill the Elite commander first — Grunts panic and drop their weapons.
Jackals' hand shields only cover their front — strafe to expose them.
Plasma weapons strip shields 2x faster than kinetic — carry one plasma weapon at all times.
Hunters' orange back core is vulnerable — wait for them to wind up their melee attack, then dash behind.
Flood Combat Forms are weak to fire — the Flamethrower and Fuel Rod Cannon are anti-Flood nukes.
